In programming, every new language I learned started with a "Hello World" application.

Hello World!

My name is Vincent A Cordero and I am very excited to create my very first blog. As I sit here typing away at my keyboard, I can't help but feeling that I am putting words on the internet that will last for as long as the internet stays online. I worked as a manager in the restaurant and retail sectors for as long as I can remember. I have a very strong background in customer service. I find reading people's body language comes natural to me. This skill has helped me achieve and exceed goals in my career.

I recently decided to go back to school for Computer Information Systems at DeVry University. My concentration is in information security. I find it fascinating how computers have transformed our lives in a relatively short time. We wear smart watches that are exponentially more powerful than the computers used to send astronauts to the moon. We have devices we can talk to and they will perform tasks based on what we ask of them. We can check on our little ones at home while they sleep from work on a smart phone. We can talk to the delivery people dropping off packages at our door while we sit at a baseball game. I feel the future is brighter than ever and I want to be apart of it.

This web interface Design class is the first step towards staking my claim in cyberspace. I want to setup shop in this digital world. I know that my work will reside more online and less in a brick and mortar environment. I stand here and welcome the new world that is transforming our lives every day. I also see the need now more than ever to connect with nature to live a balance life. One cannot live without the other. I want to share that balanced approach way of thinking to this new era and this blog is my very first baby step towards that reality.
